- Leads to a Certificate of Course Completion in Cosmetology. Successful graduates are prepared to take the Washington State Cosmetology Practical and Written Exams.
- Primary topics covered in this course include Scientific and Theoretical approach to Infection Control, Diseases and Disorders of the Scalp, Hair, Nails & Skin, Shampooing, Hair Cutting, Hair and Scalp Analysis, Principals of Hair Design and Styling, Artificial Hair, Cutting and Trimming of Facial Hair, All Chemical Procedures Including Permanent Waving and Coloring, 100 Hours of Manicuring and Pedicuring, 100 Hours of Esthetics, Safety, Sanitation, First Aid, Disinfection, Client Servicing, Washington State Law, Laboratory and Practical Experience.
- Limited to 25% instructional use of mannequins and simulated hair components as described in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Chapter 308-20-080.

As the general population ages and becomes more aware of the importance of this vital organ the Esthetics Industry is booming. Everyday more and more men and women are seeking treatment and instruction in the care of their skin.

Barbering Course

- Leads to a Certificate of Course Completion in Barbering. Successful graduates are prepared to take the Washington State Barbering Practical and Written Exams.

Instructor Course 
This course is designed to teach licensed professionals how to teach students. Although a person may know how to perform a styling technique, it takes much more knowledge to teach someone how to do the same styling technique. This course will develop your teaching strategies as well as give you insight on how to teach successful students.

- Leads to a Certificate of Course Completion in Instructor Training. Successful graduates are prepared to take the Washington State Instructor Practical and Written Exams.
- Primary topics covered in this course include Teaching Techniques and Principals, Lesson Planning, Evaluation Methods, Clinical Supervision, Preparation for Classroom Activities and Information, School Operations, Washington State Law, Infection Control, Safety, Sanitation, First Aid, Disinfection.
Prerequisites for Instructor Course: Completion of an Entrance Interview with Academy Staff and a Current Washington State License (Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Manicurist, or Barber) in good standing with the Washington State Department of Licensing. You must also have a minimum of two years consistent vocational experience within the industry at graduation.
